The Adult Education Team is offering a study of the book of Acts, a 20 week course that will be presented in two parts over the Fall and Winter/Spring. The first class is Monday, September 12 @ 7:00 PM and classes will only be offered on Monday evenings at Sacred Heart. The full year schedule will be available in the Parish office in August.
The Book of Acts is the history of the early Church. It tells us how a few Christians, empowered by the Holy Spirit, were chosen to bring Christ and the Good News to the ends of the earth. They faced secular forces, internal strife, and hostile crowds, and despite all of this, they brought the kingdom of God to a broken world and the love of God to the hearts of men.
Acts: The Spread of the Kingdom traces how the gospel witness spread outward in waves from Jerusalem, and reveals how the seeds of Church structure and authority took root. Presenter Jeff Cavins shows how the joys and struggles of the early Christian’s life in Christ apply to us today.
If you are new to the parish or just have not taken advantage of the Sacred Heart Parish's adult education offerings in the past, this is a great time to join us.
The Book of Acts study will be offered at 7 PM on Mondays. Registration is closed.
