It is just about Christmas time, quickly followed by the New Year. This is the pefect time both in the Catholic world and the secular world to consider how blessed and how grateful we are for what we have been given, and what have been able to give to others.
Sacred Heart's Sister Parish in Haiti is one of the places where Sacred Heart has been able to give, and continues to give. On the teams first trip to Haiti our Parish was able to learn a lot about the
lifestyle and challenges of the Hatians.
Recently we also were able to share the blessings of our parish with the Pastor from our Sister Parish, Father Junior.
Father Junior's visit to Sacred Heart in 2017 was the second time he was able to visit our Parish.
With these amazing experiences we have shared with Haiti thus far, it is an exciting time to announce that our Sister Parish Team is traveling to Haiti again on January 6-10th 2018 to serve, love, and visit with our Sister Parishioners. Additionally there will be a Social after the 10AM Mass at St. George Church on January 28th at 11:00AM.
It will truly be a wonderful way to start the new year that we can send members of our parish to give to those in Haiti, and then on January 28th, we can receive the blessings of learning more about how our Sister Parishioners are doing, and the shared bond we have as members of the Roman Catholic Church.
We hope that you will be able to attend the social and continue to keep the team and our Sister Parish in Haiti in your prayers.
