If God were calling you on your cell phone, would you pick up the phone or let it go to voicemail? Maybe you'd rather He text you or send you a SnapChat?
In today's technology-driven world, many of us have become unconnected to reality. We spend most of our time with some form of technological device attached to our hand, keeping up on what's going on with our friends, families, and the world--because we'd hate to miss something. But what if we are missing something? What if we're missing God's call? What if we're missing God's message?
"There are signs, signs everywhere, my son." This line from one of my favorite movies, Fools Rush In, is spoken when the lead character is struggling with where he is and where he should be. Once he hears this message--spoken by a priest as he walks by--the character starts looking around and the signs appear. He finally hears God's call and gets His message. He stops worrying. He trusts in God's message and goes where he should be--which ultimately leads him to true happiness.
When was the last time you looked around and noticed the signs? When was the last time you truly answered God's call? When was the last time you truly heard His message? If it's been a while, maybe it's time to answer the phone.
