Men of the Parish! You are invited to join Knights of Columbus Msgr. George J. Breckel Council #4824 (Sacred Heart and St. Joe Parishes). Founded on the principles of charity, unity and fraternity, the Knights of Columbus was established in 1882 by Father Michael J. McGivney, assistant pastor of St. Mary's Church in New Haven, Conn., and a group of parishioners. The intent was to bring financial aid and assistance to the sick, disabled and needy members and their families. To learn more about the Knights, click here.

January 4 through February 2, 2025 – Take pierogi orders after all weekend Masses
January 11, 2024 – Prepare and serve Friendship Luncheon in Sacred Heart Hall at Sacred Heart Church
January 14, 2025 – Monthly Council business meeting at 7:00 PM, preceded by the Rosary at 6:30 PM
February 11, 2025 – Monthly Council business meeting at 7:00 PM, preceded by the Rosary at 6:30 PM
March 2025 – Special Olympics collection
Council #4824 participates in multiple fund-raising and philanthropic activities throughout the year including:
Award of an annual $1,000 academic scholarship to a graduating high school senior or attendee at an institution of higher learning. Additional details and the application form can be found here. Applications are accepted in April/May and the scholarship is awarded in June.
Annual Coat Drive held in November, ending prior to the beginning of Advent. Click here for a summary of the most recent coat drive.
Preparing and serving a meal at one of the monthly Parish Friendship Luncheons.
Preparing and serving a meal at one fall and one spring Catholic Campus Ministry Thursday evening dinner at Bucknell University's Newman House.
Collecting donations for the Special Olympics.
Preparing/serving food at various Parish sponsored functions.
Selling french fries and drinks at local community activities, including the Milton Harvest Festival.
Selling pierogies in January for delivery prior to the Super Bowl.
Selling football raffle tickets during the NFL season with weekly prizes of $3,000.
