The Holy Season of Lent - 2016 - From The Pastor's Desk

The Season of Lent begins Wednesday, February 10, 2016. This is traditionally the time of year when we reflect more deeply on the great love that God has for us. He showed us this love through his Passion, Death and Resurrection.

The word Lent means “springtime”, not only because the season is celebrated in early spring, but because it is a time of renewal, refreshment and growth for our Spiritual Life. Make good use of this time by participating in the weekday Celebration of the Eucharist, the Sacrament of Penance, Stations of the Cross and the Easter Triduum.

Please remember that the Thursday Evening Mass, during Lent, is celebrated at
St. George Church, followed by Stations of the Cross
