This winter the Adult Education team is offering a two-part study entitled The Lamb’s Supper and a seven-part study entitled Mysteries of the Rosary - Sorrowful Mysteries. The Sorrowful Mysteries of the Rosary will be presented during Lent.
In The Lamb's Supper, Jesus, on the Road to Emmaus, broke open the Scriptures for his disciples and He gave the Church a blueprint for reading the Bible and for celebrating the liturgy. As we explore the “typological” relationship between the Old Testament and the New, we will identify the Mass as Heaven on Earth and unpack all that it means for our participation in the Eucharistic Meal.
The Sorrowful Mysteries of the Rosary integrates deeply reflective insights into the life of Christ, theological truths, and captivating stories, together with breathtaking scenery, illuminating sacred art, and inspiring music. This is not a video course on saying the Holy Rosary but an opportunity to go deeper into the Mysteries. It was filmed on location in the Holy Land to make the Rosary come alive in the hearts and minds of the participants.
This Nine Session study begins on Thursday, January 25, 2024, with five other session options available each week and the study ends prior to Holy Week. Handouts, with discussion questions, will be provided and no books are necessary for the study. However, a $5 per person donation is requested to help defray the cost of the class DVDs.
